From March 15, some Marugame Seimen stores will start selling "Tantan Maze-Kamatama Udon", which is addictive with its spicy flavor, and "Meitai Shirasu Oroshi Bukkake Udon", which allows you to taste Japanese shirasu.

Tantamaze-kamatama udon

This menu was first introduced last year at some stores in shopping centers, and was so popular that some stores sold out. It is now available again with "Hitokuchi Gohan" (rice with a bite), making it even more satisfying and addictive.


The "kama-nuki noodles" are served in a bowl directly from the boiling pot, and are prepared in a Japanese style with a rich sesame sauce that has the flavor of dashi. The spicy cayenne pepper flavor of the bonito powder, the richness of the miso paste, the sharp spiciness of the Chinese pepper oil, and the crispy white onions mixed with raayu stimulate the appetite and make the dish addictive. For the finishing touch, an onsen tamago (egg) is added to mellow the taste. Mix the whole thing well before eating. The price is 670 yen (regular), 790 yen (large), and 910 yen (special). Not available for take-out.

Meitai shirasu bukkake udon with grated radish

A bowl of freshly made udon noodles topped with soft Japanese shirasu (baby sardines), spicy mentaiko (seasoned cod roe), grated daikon and shiso leaves. The shirasu is full of flavor and has a fluffy texture. The spiciness of the mentaiko and the refreshing taste of grated daikon can be tasted as the noodles slide down your throat. The shiso leaves placed on top of the noodles give it a refreshing aroma and a crisp taste.


The grated daikon can be replaced with grated yam. The price is 590 yen (regular), 710 yen (large), and 830 yen (special). Take-out is not available.
