Next week is Christmas. Cake is always a part of the Christmas table, but there are times when you have your hands full with making salads and main dishes.
The perfect solution for such a situation is the "trifle," an easy-to-prepare British dessert. It is made of layers of sponge cake, cream, fruit, and other ingredients, and is often eaten at Christmas. I tried to make it right away.

Trifle Taste?
We recommend using a large spoon to enjoy a variety of ingredients in one bite. You can enjoy the contrast of textures such as crunchy corn flakes, smooth cream, and moist sponge. When you put the sponge in your mouth, the syrup soaked into the sponge will spread out. When making the sponge cake, it is recommended to add a splash of alcohol to the syrup to give it a more mature taste. You can also dip it in coffee instead of syrup.
The sweetness of the cream and sponge is well accented by the strawberries. The tartness of the strawberries adds a nice touch of acidity to the overall flavor.
The trifle is very simple to make, yet it offers a multilayered texture and flavor. It looks gorgeous and is the perfect ending to a luxurious Christmas dinner. Have a delicious trifle and a wonderful Christmas!
