There is a product that complains that "you can get one day's worth of vegetables". It is often used in juices, salads, bento boxes, soups, etc., and there are also types such as "1/2 of the day" and "1/3 of the day".

Not just "one day"

On the other hand, I have never seen a product that says "I can get a day's worth of meat." Does it mean that you can eat enough meat without being aware of it? However, the amount of meat does not come to mind when it is said to be "one day's worth of meat," and there is a great possibility that the meat is actually insufficient. To make sure, I decided to make my own "don that can get meat for one day".

● How much is "one day's worth of meat"?

Generally, the nutrient you want to get from meat is "protein". First, determine "one day's worth of meat" from the amount of "one day's protein".

The daily protein requirement is about 60g (2.12oz) for adult men and about 50g (1.76oz) for adult women. For those who do not have a lot of exercise, this is the standard.

On the other hand, the protein content of meat varies not only with the type of animal but also with the part and cooking method.
In terms of familiar chicken thigh meat (with skin), 16 to 17 g per 100 g. If you want to eat 60g (2.12oz) of protein, you need about 380g (13.4oz).

To give another example, chicken breast is 23 to 25 g per 100 g (1 day = about 260 g), and pork rose is 14 to 15 g (about 430 g).

● I tried to make "a bowl that can take meat for one day" -Chicken thigh mayonnaise ponzu stir-fried ver.-

This time I used chicken thighs. When I bought the necessary amount at the butcher shop, it was about 1 and 1/4.

The cooking method can be anything, but this time I used mayonnaise ponzu stir-fry so that the rice would go on. Season the chicken thighs cut into bite-sized pieces, sprinkle with potato starch, and fry the mayonnaise in a frying pan. When cooked, season with mayonnaise and ponzu sauce to complete.

Add 200g (7.05oz) of rice (1 pack of sugar rice) to the bowl and put the whole amount on it.

Since 200g (7.05oz) of rice was a little less than the bowl, the volume at a glance is normal for a bowl of rice.

However, when I dug the bowl with chopsticks, I couldn't quite reach the rice. Meat: Rice is almost 2: 1 so it's natural, but the layer of meat is thick.

The seasoning was so strong that the rice ran out on the way, but it took about 15 minutes to complete the meal. It was a little too much to eat all at once, but not so painful.

● Conclusion: One day's worth of meat can be eaten in about 15 minutes

It turns out that one day's worth of meat can be eaten quite easily. If you think of it as 3 meals a day, it seems that you can clear it without being conscious of it.

In addition, while "1 day's worth of vegetables" related products have a feeling of openness after meals, "This is the end of today's meal!", "1 day's worth of meat bowl" is "Is this the end of today's meal?" I was disappointed with the feeling of "...". As for your favorite food, it seems that you will be more happy if you eat it separately than if you eat it all at once.
