It's a small shop, but it's full of people. It became a shared table.

Konpira Chaya is located right next to the corner of the skyscrapers that walked a little along Meguro Dori from the east exit of Meguro Station. It's a small shop. However, it is crowded with people from early noon on weekdays, and many of the customers are like office workers. It's really an office district.

Of course, I sat down at the table and ordered "Beef Kara Udon". Add hot spring eggs to the toppings for 1,180 yen (tax included). Of the two levels of spiciness, I chose the low-key "medium spicy".

Arrived without waiting too much

After asking, the tray will be delivered without waiting so much. The bowl with udon is big and makes me happy. When I picked it up with chopsticks, the udon noodles, which were handmade, had a chewy and fluffy texture.

Texture with softness and suppleness

However, it is firm and has a decent texture that you can see the horns of the noodles standing when you try to bite it off. It seems to be a contradiction, but it feels like softness and suppleness coexist. It is strange that tuyu is often entwined even though it is thick as it is.

Udon tuyu is beef curry itself

Tuyu is beef curry itself

Udon tuyu is as thick as curry roux itself, and because it is thick, it may be often entwined with udon.

There are many slices of beef in it, and when you chew it, the taste of meat that is as strong as curry spreads on your tongue. Suddenly I feel like I'm eating rice beef curry. On the other hand, if you break the hot spring eggs that you ordered for toppings and entangle them in the udon noodles, the taste will be lost to the curry, so you may want to taste them as they are.

Hafu sighs and flattens the udon noodles in a blink of an eye, and the bowl still has plenty of tuyu. Looking at other customers, it seems that they ask for additional rice or replace udon noodles, but this one is scooped up with the large spoon that came with it and you can drink it as it is.

Tuyu alone is delicious like curry soup. The bowl is empty as I carry the spoon with just one bite and another bite. I thought about it for a moment, but it's a good season to have a lot of salt, so I told myself that it was safe this time, and I stood up while rubbing my full stomach.
