Marugame Seimen "Oni oroshi niku bukkake udon" and "Oni oroshi chicken kara bukkake udon"

Marugame Seimen will offer its most popular summer menu item, "Oni oroshi niku bukkake udon" for a limited time starting June 13. It will be available at roadside stores (mainly independent stores located along main roads) throughout Japan. In addition, "Oni oroshi chicken kara bukkake udon," which was introduced last year (2022), will be available at shopping centers and other stores.

Oni oroshi niku bukkake udon" is a dish of bukkake udon noodles with watered-down noodles and thick broth, topped with coarsely grated daikon (Japanese radish), beef and onions grilled in front of the customer for each order. The crispy texture of the freshly grated oni grated radish and the savory and fatty flavor of the freshly grilled beef can be enjoyed with the thirst-quenching cold udon noodles.


This year, the "special ponzu" has evolved and become more refreshing. Based on the ponzu vinegar, which has a refreshing sourness and a fresh citrus aroma, it is prepared in the restaurant by combining richly flavored bukkake-dashi and fragrant white sesame seeds. By thickening the sauce slightly, it is more easily mixed with onirogori and udon noodles, and the taste is more refreshing and mouth-watering.

The "Oni Oroshi Chicken Kara Bukkake Udon" is a dish of firm, water-boiled bukkake udon topped with three pieces of fried chicken thighs. It is accompanied by thickly soaked deep-fried eggplant and topped with chopped yuzu (Japanese citrus fruit).


The juicy fried chicken thighs are flavored with garlic and soy sauce, and go perfectly with the oni oroshi and special ponzu vinegar. The thickly soaked deep-fried eggplant and fresh-flavored chopped yuzu enhance the summery flavor of the dish.
