Marugame Seimen, together with Osaka Prefectural Agricultural High School, has been working to reduce livestock feed costs while reducing food waste from stores. As part of this, Nougei Pork is a branded pork raised on the feed of "fresh udon noodles" that can no longer be eaten at stores. Udon, which is a recycled feed, is provided free of charge by Marugame Seimen's Sakai Mihara store.
