Marugame Seimen "Teriyaki Taru Chicken Bukkake Udon" and "Taru Chicken Series"

A new menu item, "Teriyaki Taru Chicken Bukkake Udon" will be available at Marugame Seimen restaurants from September 5 to mid-October. The popular "Tarudori Tenbukkake Udon" will also be available in time for the same period.

Teriyaki Taru Chicken Bukkake Udon

The popular "TARU-CHIKU" series is now available in an appetizing "TERIYAKI" flavor. Fried chicken coated with a thick, sweet and spicy teriyaki sauce and tartar sauce are intertwined to create the richest taste possible in this udon.

The "Teriyaki Chicken," which is made by soaking the fried chicken thighs in a thick teriyaki sauce, is prepared in two stages at each restaurant. The seasoned chicken thighs are deep-fried one by one at each restaurant, and then combined with special sauce, teriyaki sauce, and grated ginger to give it a deep, rich flavor.


The teriyaki chicken and the special tartar sauce are a perfect match. The special tartar sauce, when mixed with the teriyaki chicken, gives the rich flavor a mild taste. The udon noodles are also a perfect match, and the chopped nori (seaweed) and sesame accents added at the end of the dish enhance the flavor.


Priced at 790 yen (including tax) for a standard portion, 930 yen for a large portion, and 1,070 yen for a special portion.

Taru Chicken Tempura Bukkake Udon

This year marks the 8th appearance of this dish. Four juicy chicken tenders flavored with yuzu (Japanese citron) are topped on freshly pounded udon noodles and served with tartar sauce, potherb mustard and onions to add color, and Tokushima-made sudachi (citrus fruit) for a refreshing sour taste.

This year's tartar sauce has evolved to have a smoother flavor that blends well with the broth and is well mixed with the udon noodles. The refreshing aroma and sourness of sudachi matches the tartar sauce and udon, creating a rich harmony.


Prices are 890 yen for a standard portion, 1,030 yen for a large portion, and 1,170 yen for a special portion.
