Sakiyo-ken will introduce "Hitokuchi Ohagi" in time for the autumnal equinox. The product is made with a sweet red bean paste produced in Tokachi, Hokkaido, wrapped with mochi rice and sold at room temperature at about 160 stores mainly in Kanagawa and Tokyo from September 20 to 25. 6-piece sets are available for 490 yen (tax included).

Saki Yoken Hitokuchi Ohagi


Ohagi is a type of rice cake made for the seven-day period around the equinoxes, including the three days before and after the spring and autumnal equinoxes. The rice rice balls are made of mochi rice with a unique Sakiyo-ken texture, and are made in an easy-to-eat size.

The bean paste covering the outside is made from 100% azuki beans produced in Tokachi, Hokkaido, and is said to have a refreshing sweetness that allows you to enjoy the flavor of the azuki beans. With 63 kcal per piece, the product is suitable as a tea snack or after-dinner dessert. The shelf life is 20 hours from the time of manufacture.
