The spring equinox is a seven-day period centering on the first day of spring. During this period, o-hagi are offered at Buddhist altars and graves are visited, and Kameya Mannendo usually offers several varieties of o-hagi. All of them are small in size so that they can be eaten easily. The sweets are made with azuki beans from Hokkaido and selected glutinous rice, and are described as having a refined taste with a moderate sweetness.
