Spring Kanagawa Flavor Bento

Sakiyoken "Spring Kanagawa Aji Bento

This is a new addition to a series of lunchboxes created in cooperation with the prefectural government in order to increase the number of tourists to Kanagawa Prefecture. It features spring-like ingredients such as bamboo shoots, butterbur and rape blossoms.

Two types of staple food are included in the package. The bamboo shoot rice is cooked with the crunchy texture of bamboo shoots, which are in season in spring, with carrots and fried tofu added to give it a deep flavor. The white rice is topped with dried Odawara plums, which are pickled only with salt and carefully dried in the sun.

The main dish, "Misaki Tuna Stewed in Rikyu," is made from tuna landed at Misaki Port and simmered in a sesame flavored sauce. In the "Braised Kanagawa Cabbage and Miura Hijiki", Miura hijiki buds are braised with Kanagawa cabbage, fried tofu, and carrots, and the texture of the cabbage and the rich flavor of the sesame oil are its characteristics.

In addition to this, there is Odawara Kamaboko, three pieces of Yokohama's famous "old-fashioned siomai," bamboo shoots, carrots, lotus roots, butterbur, fluffy flower-shaped tofu (with rape blossoms), omelet, soy sauce-pickled rape blossoms, and Daifuku (sweet bean paste).

In addition, the design of the wrapping paper features the cherry blossoms in Nishihirahata Park and Mount Fuji in Matsuda Town, Kanagawa Prefecture, as well as famous places such as Odawara Castle Keep in Odawara City, Tabata Tulips in Samukawa Town, Himuro Tsubaki Garden in Chigasaki City, Road Train Ai-chan in Aikawa Town, and Mitsuike Park in Yokohama City.
