Sakiyo-ken "shioumai bento

It has been announced on the official website that the grilled fish on Sakiyoken's signature "shioumai bento" menu will be temporarily changed. The standard "grilled marinated tuna" will become "grilled salmon".

Shiumai Lunch Box - Change of Grilled Fish

The shioumai bento was introduced in 1954 as a sister product to the Yokohama specialty shioumai, and has been a favorite item of Sakiyo-ken's. The bento contains a bale of rice with a small ume plum. It consists of a bale of rice (small ume and black sesame), traditional shiumai, kamaboko, fried chicken, fried egg, bamboo shoot stew, red bean paste, kombu and shredded ginger, and usually grilled marinated tuna. The selling price is 860 yen (tax included).

According to Saki Yoken, due to the global supply chain disruption caused by the spread of the new coronavirus, it has been difficult to secure the necessary quantity of tuna, the raw material for the marinated tuna omelet, so it will be replaced by salted grilled salmon from August 17 to 23. From August 24, it will be back to the marinated tuna and will be sold as usual. Sakiyo-ken will continue its efforts to secure a stable supply of raw materials.
