The signature menu of Kairikiya from Kitashirakawa, Kyoto is special soy sauce ramen, but Kyoto jet black soy sauce ramen has appeared as another soy sauce ramen limited to the winter season.

Compared to the special soy sauce ramen, Kyoto jet black soy sauce ramen is characterized by the aroma, umami, and sharpness of soy sauce. The accent of the soup is not backfat, but "green onion oil" that uses plenty of white onion, and the scent of green onion spreads throughout the pot to stimulate the appetite and bring out the taste of soy sauce.
