J's Curry's "J's Bowl White Fuji" is delicious!
Roast beef bowl? Curry Rice?

I ate "J's Don Shirafuji", which is made by wrapping rice with roast beef and sprinkling plenty of curry and potato cream sauce on a mountain. An interesting dish that can be called a roast beef bowl or curry rice.

This menu can be eaten at "J's Curry," which is featured on TV and the Internet. The shop in Jimbocho, Tokyo is a small shop with only a counter.

J's Curry. This time I entered a shop in Jimbocho, Tokyo

It's a curry shop, but there are many unusual menus. The shape and taste of J's Don Shirafuji, which is the signature menu, is unique. On a large plate with a hollow in the middle, rice is piled up, two pieces of wide roast beef are wrapped around, and hot spring eggs are placed on the top. In addition, the shop sprinkles black curry roux, which the shop calls "roasted curry," and then sprinkles potato cream sauce on top of it.

The potato cream sauce covers the mountains white

The color of this cream sauce makes the whole look like a snow-covered mountain. It's very beautiful, but no matter what the taste, I immediately peel off the roast beef and take it with the rice inside in a spoon. Then crush the soft-boiled egg and sprinkle some yolk on it.

Roast beef is very soft and goes well with rice. The black curry roux has a Japanese flavor, but it has a strong spice scent and is spicy. On the other hand, the white cream sauce has a smooth texture with the potatoes inside. The combination of softening the strength of the roux makes it easier to eat.

Roast beef and rice go perfectly together

However, if you want to enjoy the beef flavor of roast beef, you should eat it alone without adding too much curry roux. The rice is delicious enough with curry and cream sauce alone, and it is interesting to change the taste by adding pickles on the plate and "spice radish" and "special spice soy sauce" on the table.

The selling price of J's Don Shirafuji is 950 yen (tax included, same below). Although the price goes up a little, you can also order a large serving of rice and an increase in the amount of roast beef. You can also choose a salad or soup set.

You can also add "Mango Soymilk Lassi" as an after-dinner drink. It costs an additional 150 yen, but the spicy aftertaste of the curry remained in my mouth, so I ordered to rest my tongue. It's a very unadorned drink, but the rich aroma and sweetness of mango blended well with the soft soy milk and was pleasant.
