"Broccoli cake" is sold at "Patisserie Potager" (Nakameguro, Tokyo), a store specializing in organic vegetable sweets. There are two variations: "Oyama broccoli" and walnut cheesecake "(500 yen) and" Oyama broccoli "and orange souffle" (470 yen). Both are made with Tottori prefecture brand broccoli "Kirakira Midori".
"Daisen broccoli" and walnut cheesecake are cheesecake with green broccoli layered on top of each other. Topped with cream and walnuts.
It doesn't look strange, but when you eat it, you can feel the taste of broccoli. Some of the lower cheesecakes are like broccoli puree. In addition, under the cream, there are walnuts and broccoli stalks. The crispy texture is like a salad. It was a new kind of cheesecake.
On the other hand, "Daisen broccoli" and orange souffle are impressive in appearance. Boiled broccoli with bright green is on top of the white cream.
The base souffle part is finished with fluffy broccoli souffle on top of cream with orange and cinnamon. The sweetness and bitterness of broccoli is suppressed by the acidity of orange, so it is easy to eat, and you may not notice that it contains broccoli only in the souffle part. Even people who are not good at broccoli may be able to eat it.
Both "broccoli cakes" were solid sweets, contrary to their visual impact.
It will be on sale until the end of December (Christmas period: except December 19th to 25th). For those who love broccoli, or for those who don't like broccoli? It seems to be exciting even as a souvenir.
