I quickly bought and tried Burger King's 2023 Otsukimi Menu "Chipotle Pineapple Tsukimi Burger" and "Teriyaki Pineapple Tsukimi Burger". Tokyo was hit by a typhoon. No matter the heavy rain warnings, no matter the flood warnings. Just for moon viewing.

Chipotle Pineapple Tsukimi Burger

This burger is made with a 100% beef patty grilled over an open flame, layered with pineapple and smoky bacon, and finished with a special "smoky chipotle sauce" with an aged, delicious and spicy flavor, as well as fresh lettuce and creamy mayonnaise. Priced from 540 yen (tax included, same as below) for a single item.


Just one bite of the burger will give you the spiciness of the chipotle sauce, but the sweet and sour of the fresh pineapple and the smokiness of the bacon combine well to give the burger a deep, rich flavor. The crispy bacon and crispy lettuce also add a nice accent! The slightly mature taste will make you feel like you are on a sunset beach in Hawaii!

Teriyaki Pineapple Tsukimi Burger

A 100% beef patty grilled over an open flame, smoky bacon, and pineapple are combined with our original "Teriyaki Sauce" made with charred green onions and red miso paste. Priced from 540 yen for a single item.


The sauce is richer than the usual teriyaki sauce...! If you taste it carefully, you can certainly taste the charred green onions and red miso.


Teriyaki burgers can sometimes be a little too sweet for my taste, but the sourness and sweetness of the pineapple not only added richness to the sauce, but also refreshed my palate, allowing me to finish the burger in a few bites! I almost forgot to take a picture.

the new tsukimi burger overturned the stereotype of tsukimi = egg, and the taste was of a quality that exceeded my expectations! I recommend the Chipotle Pineapple Tsukimi Burger for those who like spicy food, and the Teriyaki Pineapple Tsukimi Burger for those who like Teriyaki.

Since I went to buy them during the typhoon, I also tried the chicken nuggets. I chose mustard as the sauce.


Burger King's nugget sauce is the type that you serve yourself in the container. It reduces the amount of time the sauce is exposed to the air.


The nuggets are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside! The chicken nuggets are still very consistent. I recommend this as a plus one for a tsukimi burger!
