In the eating editorial department, there is a "hamburger club" that works quietly but passionately. A member who loves hamburgers visited this time at the rumored hamburger shop "Franklin Avenue", saying "There is a line on weekends"!


Franklin Avenue is located near Seisen University in Shinagawa Ward. By the way, the restaurant next door is French restaurant "Nukitepa " where you can eat the "earthen dishes" that I introduced earlier.



When I arrived at the shop around 13:00 on weekdays, I was able to sit comfortably without lining up. There is also a terrace seat in the store overlooking the lush garden. Those who indulge in reading while drinking coffee, those who enjoy the cheerfulness of early summer with beer and onion rings. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the weekday afternoon. Next time, I'll definitely sit on the terrace ... (and beer ...)!



The menu is lined with 14 types of hamburgers and 12 types of sandwiches! Side menus such as salads, soups, and French fries are also substantial. I'm wondering what to do!


This time, I ordered "Avocado Burger", which seems to have a high approval rating from girls, and "Oh Sole Mio", which means "my sun" in Italian. By the way, I ordered the latter because the name was cool.

By the way, the avocado burger is medium size (112g (3.95oz) / 1,130 yen), and O Sole Mio is extra size (225g (7.94oz) / 1,960 yen).

About 10 minutes later, the avocado burger was first delivered. Beef patties are layered with vegetables such as lettuce, tomatoes and pickles, and cut avocados are piled up.


Avocado is the best ripe, sticky and rich texture. When eaten with a tight patty , the sweetness and umami spreads in your mouth the more you chew . Why do beef and avocado go so well together?

In addition, lettuce and onions with a crispy and fresh texture and pickles with acidity give a refreshing aftertaste.


It was a satisfying dish with plenty of vegetables as well as a chewy patty!
Immediately after that, instead of sandwiching a thick patty ..., "Oh Sole Mio" with the patty on the bread appeared! The patties are so voluminous and there are plenty of vegetables such as lettuce, tomatoes and onions, so it seems impossible to pinch them in the buns!


Beef patty is packed with fibers, but when you insert a knife, it cuts "fluffy". It is well cooked to the inside and has a firm chewy texture. Best match with slightly sweet buns!

Tomato sauce, mozzarella and two types of cheese are luxuriously combined on the patty, adding a juicy and rich flavor. If you chew all at the same time, the sweetness, saltiness, and richness will be in the best condition in a well-balanced manner! The taste of meat also stands out.


Very satisfied with the taste and volume! Both of them were hamburgers that made me feel like I ate meat.
