The plant will be installed at Koriku Logistics, which undertakes food distribution in the Kosai Rikuun Group. The company purchases waste cooking oil discharged from its business partner, Calbee Konan Plant (Shiga Prefecture), as a raw material, and refines it as a fuel for diesel vehicles in place of light oil. The refined fuel will be used as fuel for the Koriku Group's trucks and forklifts, and is also being considered as a boiler fuel for greenhouse cultivation.

Biodiesel fuel is made from rapeseed oil, soybean oil, waste tempura oil, etc., so it can be obtained repeatedly, and it is said that it does not contribute to the increase in CO2 (carbon dioxide) in the atmosphere.
