7-ELEVEN Japan announced that the number of 7-Eleven stores in Japan will exceed "15,000 stores" on February 28th.
In fiscal 2013, we will start opening stores in the Shikoku region on March 1, opening stores in Kagawa and Tokushima prefectures, and plan to open 1,500 stores annually, including existing store openings. By the end of March, the number of 7-ELEVEN stores worldwide is expected to reach 50,000.
