Non-alcoholic Beer Drinking Comparison

The "non-alcoholic beverage" market is growing at its largest ever scale due to increasing health consciousness and other factors. With the increase in non-alcoholic beer and other options, more people are now able to enjoy drinking at home!

I am one of those non-alcoholic beer drinkers... but lately the number of varieties has been increasing tremendously! In addition to "zero calorie" and "zero sugar" beverages, there are also functional food products that "reduce visceral fat" and "help improve memory". Enhancing memory...?


So this time, we compared six kinds of non-alcoholic beer (beer-tasting beverages) that we could buy at a local supermarket. We also looked into the differences in taste and other characteristics, including those of healthy products!

Comparison of 6 kinds of non-alcoholic beers.

When compared, there was quite a difference in taste!

The "All Free" series has a strong bitterness and richness.
The "Dry Zero" series has a strong bitterness and richness, while the "All Free" series is easy to drink and has no taste.
Greens Free" and "Karada Free" have a fruity aroma and taste like a foreign beer.

Personally, my favorite flavor is Greens Free. However, I actually drink "All Free" or "Dry Zero" depending on my mood that day.


In general, all of the non-alcoholic beers have a decent hop aroma and bitterness, and I think they are as good as real beer in terms of drinkability. Even though it is non-alcoholic, it makes me slightly excited! A long time ago, I don't think I ever thought non-alcoholic beer tasted this good...modern technology is amazing!

Suntory All

Free

"All Free" is a beer-tasting drink with zero calories, zero sugar, and zero purine.


All Free for Your Body" is a beer-tasting beverage (food with functional claims) that contains tiriloside (a polyphenol) from rose hips, which helps reduce visceral fat. It contains zero calories and zero sugar.


Ashita wo Omo All Free is a beer-tasting beverage (food with functional claims) that contains GABA, which helps improve memory. It also contains zero calories and zero sugar.


All Free", "All Free for Your Body", and "All Free for Tomorrow" taste almost the same. The light taste, the bitterness that lingers on the tongue, and the refreshing taste that goes down the throat are just like beer! Compared to other brands, I felt the bitterness was a little stronger. Recommended for those who want a full-bodied drinking experience.

Not only does it have zero alcohol, calories, and sugar, but it also helps reduce visceral fat and improve memory, which is very lucky, isn't it?

Asahi Dry Zero

A non-alcoholic beer with zero calories and zero sugar. The fluffy foam seemed finer than others, but it may simply be a matter of pouring.


It was the easiest to drink, with no peculiar aroma or taste, and a mild bitterness! It seems to go well with all kinds of meals, both Japanese and Western. It has the same crisp, refreshing thirst-quenching flavor that is typical of "Super Dry," and I hope you will enjoy it when you are thirsty.

Kirin Green's Free

A beer-tasting beverage made with three types of hops, with 7kcal and 1.6g (0.21oz) of sugar per 100ml (3.38us fl oz).


The aroma of hops is gorgeous! It has a refreshing flavor and pleasant bitterness like a foreign beer, so if it were served at a beer festival or something, you probably wouldn't even notice it was non-alcoholic. The aroma is pleasant, so it is recommended when you want to have a quick drink before going to bed.

Kirin Karada Free (Food with Functional Claims
