Do you ever buy a large quantity of beer for a day when everyone is together and end up with a lot left over? You can't throw it away, but you can't drink it all by yourself.... In that case, let's use it for stewed meat! It is very tasty with a soft and deep flavor.

This time we will introduce a recipe for braised pork with beer.

Beer-braised

pork recipe

Ingredients

The recipe is based on Kirin's recipe.

Pork thigh 300g (10.58oz)
1/2 to 1 onion
50 to 100ml (3.38us fl oz) beer
1 teaspoon granulated consommé
Butter to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
2 lemon slices (if available)

Directions

Cut pork into bite-size pieces and onion into thin slices.

Heat butter in a frying pan and fry onions. When onions begin to change color and soften, add pork and cook until browned. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Add the beer and consommé and bring to a simmer. Continue to simmer until the liquid is almost gone.

Serve on a plate, garnish with a slice of lemon, and you're done!

How does it taste?

Yum...just like the food you get at a restaurant! The meat is tender and the butter makes it aromatic and mild. The beer has removed the fatty taste, leaving it with a refreshing aftertaste. The onions also bring out the sweetness, giving it a tender texture!

I don't detect any bitterness from the beer, but it has a refreshing and crisp aftertaste. The meat becomes really soft and juicy, so you can eat as much as you want. I made it with pork this time, but it's also delicious with beef or chicken stewed in beer! Try it!
