Convenience Store Cream Puff Eating Comparison Summer 2023

Lawson released "Dense Custard Cream Puff" on August 29. And at the same time, a new cream puff "Cream-filled! Dense Custard Puffs" appeared on the market.

The tough-looking puff pastry has a slightly crispy, thick crust. The custard cream inside is thick and creamy, and is filled to the point of overflowing!



The rich custard cream was the most eggy of the three. I personally enjoyed the egginess of the cream and the fact that there were no gaps in the dough, which is why I ranked it first this time..!


The balance between the aroma of the crispy baked dough and the smooth custard cream is also exquisite! The dough is also firm, but the cream is thick and plentiful, so it is well balanced.

Baked with fermented butter, the puff pastry is bulky and tall! These choux pastries are shaped like mountains.


When you cut the crispy puff pastry, the custard cream melts from inside. It is so thick you can almost drink it! The taste has the richness of egg and the richness of milk.


Since the cream is drinkable and the puff pastry has a lot of volume, the dough remains in your mouth for a little longer at the end of eating. But it is no problem because the dough itself is delicious.

The most standard looking cream puff. The dough is the thinnest of the three, and has a moist, chewy texture that melts in your mouth.


The custard cream inside is fluffy rather than thick, and has a deep flavor with a strong sense of vanilla as well as egg!


The presence of the dough is rather thin, giving the impression of cream puffs where you can taste the cream. The dough was light in the mouth and the cream was just the right amount of sweetness, making it a very elegant cream puff that could be enjoyed even after a full meal!
