Yoru no Ume is Toraya's signature ogura yokan, named after a poem in the Kokin Waka poetry anthology, "Yoru no Yami wa Ayanashi Ume no Hana (Plum blossoms in the dark of spring)," in which the cut azuki beans resemble plum blossoms in the darkness of the night.

The night plum with tiger shading design is a store exclusive package available at the Shijo Minamiza store in Kyoto, adjacent to the Minamiza Theater, originally the birthplace of Kabuki. It is a product supervised by Shochiku. This time, in honor of the Kabuki-za's performance in the Year of the Tiger, it will also be available at the Kabuki-za's 1st floor Souvenir Shop Kobiki-cho. The Shijo Minamiza store in Kyoto will be able to purchase one at a time, but the Kabuki-za will not be selling them in bulk.
