Sakiyo-ken "Mother's Day Lunchbox

Saki Yoken will introduce a limited-time and limited-quantity Mother's Day bento, available for pre-order starting April 8 and to be picked up at approximately 160 stores mainly in Kanagawa and Tokyo from May 6 to 8. Some stores in the Kanagawa area will also sell the lunchboxes without reservations on May 6 and 7, and some stores in the Kanagawa and Tokyo areas will sell them in-store without reservations on May 8. The selling price is 1,300 yen (tax included).

This annual menu will be in its 13th year in 2022. A variety of dishes are arranged in nine small compartments for women who want to eat a variety of side dishes little by little. There are three staple dishes: sekihan (red rice) with chestnuts and sesame seeds, chahan with sea bream and sesames, and shirohan (white rice) with slightly salty cherry blossoms.

Main dishes include "Duck smoked with apple chips" and "Soft and fluffy cod tempura with crab and enokitake mushroom sauce. In addition, there are two "old-fashioned shioumai," "braised head prawn with garnish," "braised scallop with sake and salt," "braised plum-shaped carrot," "braised pumpkin," "white lotus root," "rolled herring with konbu," "black kidney bean," "fried tofu with five seasonings," "thick-baked egg," "pickled rape blossoms in soy sauce," and "pickled cherry blossom radish. Also included is a sweet treat, "Hana-mochi (flower rice cake)," which looks lovely.

An original message card with the western calendar is also included. The card is designed to express gratitude to the recipient.
