Yayoiken will start selling "Shizuoka Tororo Jiru to Tempura Teishoku", a Japanese set meal that combines "Tororo Jiru", a soup stock made of grated yam and Shizuoka Izu Miso, and tempura. At the same time, the home set meal "[To go] Shizuoka Tororo Jiru and Tempura" will also go on sale.

Shizuoka Tororo Jiru and Tempura Set Meal

Shizuoka Tororo Jiru is a dish that appeared in the "Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido" and "Tokaido Chu Hizakurige" and was considered a source of nourishment for travelers. It is characterized by the combination of bonito soup stock with Shizuoka Izu miso and grated yam. It has the unique stickiness of grated yam, but has a gentle flavor that can be eaten easily.

There are four types of tempura: two shrimp, squid, okra, and lotus root. You can enjoy the different textures of the shrimp, squid, okra, and lotus root. For seasoning, you can choose between matcha salt, with its light aroma of matcha green tea, which reminds you of the coming of spring, or the refreshing oroshi tempura sauce.
