MUJI "Takikomi Gohan no Moto Squid and Ginger Rice" "Takikomi Gohan no Moto Okinawa-style Pork Kakuni Rice"

MUJI's "Takikomi Gohan no Moto" series now includes two new products: "Takikomi Gohan no Moto Squid and Ginger Rice" and "Takikomi Gohan no Moto Okinawa-style Pork Kakuni Rice". It will be on sale at each store and online store from September 9th.

"Takikomi Gohan no Moto" is a food series for "enjoying rice more deliciously". Introducing this time are products that are modeled after the local cuisine of Hokkaido and Okinawa. No chemical seasonings, artificial colors, or spices (only "Takikomi Gohan no Moto"). For 2 rice (2 to 3 servings), the price is 450 yen (tax included).

"Takikomi gohan no squid and ginger rice" is finished with shredded ginger, using sliced squid as a model of Hokkaido's "Ikameshi". Based on kelp soup stock, it makes the best use of the umami of squid and cooks it into a firm soy sauce-flavored rice. After cooking, add the attached "dried vegetable green onions" and steam a little to finish.

On the other hand, "Takikomi Gohan no Moto Okinawa-style Pork Kakuni Rice" is made from domestic pork and is finished with hijiki seaweed, lotus root, and shiitake mushrooms, based on the "juushii" of Okinawa prefecture. Sweet rice seasoned with soy sauce and sugar, with bonito and kelp soup stock, is cooked. After cooking, sprinkle the attached "Shikuwasa sauce" to enhance the sweetness of the pork with the refreshing acidity of the Shikuwasa juice.
