MUJI Uji green tea cake

Here is a list of MUJI food items that I actually ate and enjoyed. The three items are "Kimbap (Korean-style nori maki)," "Uji green tea cake," and "Bakutae over rice.

Kimbap (Korean-style nori roll)

Frozen kimbap. Simply defrost it in a microwave oven and enjoy it whenever you want.

MUJI "Kimbap (Korean-style nori maki)

Wrapped around a thickly baked egg, minced beef, takuan (pickled radish), spinach, burdock root, and carrots. As you chew, the combination of the various ingredients, rice, and nori (seaweed) creates a simple yet rich taste. It is also easy to pick up and eat in one or two bites.

Uji green tea cake

Uji Matcha Cake is a chilled sweet sold at some MUJI stores. It uses stone-ground Uji matcha green tea, which is aromatic and colorful.

The top layer is made like a terrine with matcha and chocolate, melting thickly and giving the rich taste of matcha and a slight astringency. The lower tier is a simple sponge. Its fluffy texture and gentle flavor are well balanced with the rich matcha.

Bhaktae over rice

Pork belly and radish stewed in a broth with nine spices, including octagonal horns and cinnamon, as well as ginger and garlic. The dish is modeled after the Malaysian local dish "bakteh.

MUJI Bakutei over rice

The aroma of octagonal horns and cinnamon gives the dish a distinctly exotic feel. The sweet and spicy seasoning is relatively mild, and the dish has a refined taste, like a "not-too-bitter stewed cubes". Recommended for beginners of ethnic cuisine.
