Raw shirasu, melt

The problem with lunch is the problem when walking around Kamakura. Especially in the Komachi-dori area, there are so many shops that you can't decide where to go.

Therefore, we recommend Akimoto, a restaurant on the 3rd floor of the i-ZA Kamakura Building on the left side of Komachi Street. It's a popular shop where you can wait in line even on weekdays before it opens. However, the impression that the rotation is not so slow. Write your name at the entrance and wait for your turn.

We recommend the "Morning Shirasu Don" (1,450 yen plus tax), which uses raw shirasu harvested off the coast of Koshigoe that morning. It is a bowl of rice topped with fried shirasu and raw shirasu. Grated ginger is on the top. Green onions are also included. With hot spring egg, pickles, and red miso soup.

Shirasu is full!

Sprinkle a little Tosa soy sauce on the tabletop on the raw shirasu, put the hot spring egg on it, and eat it while breaking it at your favorite timing. Be careful not to sprinkle too much soy sauce on the fried whitebait because it is salty.

The raw shirasu is plump and has a smooth texture that melts! Every time you chew, you can feel the sweetness of the shirasu itself. It has a good throat and a taste that conveys the freshness.

On the other hand, the fried shirasu is plump and juicy, with plenty of salted umami. The spiciness of grated ginger and green onions resets the mouth, making each bite of shirasu feel fresher and more delicious.

If you break the hot spring egg, it will be delicious again! The richness of the melting yolk wraps the whole, and the saltiness of the shirasu becomes mellow. The taste changes steadily, so you won't get bored until the end.

Raw rice bowls are not always available. I don't know until that morning, so maybe I should check the store's Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or contact me by phone. Please note that fishing is prohibited from New Year's Day to March 10th.

There is another specialty of the store, such as Kamakura vegetable tempura, so if you don't have a bowl of raw vegetables on the day you visit, you can enjoy it!
