New sweets using local fruits are appearing at 7-ELEVEN stores in some areas. Two items, "Tochigi Prefecture Tochiotome Strawberry Sandwich" and "Gunma Prefecture Blueberry Moko".
Tochigi Prefecture's Tochiotome Strawberry Sandwich is a fruit sandwich with Tochigi Prefecture's strawberry "Tochiotome" sandwiched between pink bread. Two types of cream are combined, custard cream and whipped cream with chocolate chips. Sales areas are Tochigi and Ibaraki prefectures (excluding some stores). The price is 350 yen (tax included, same below).
Chocolate chips accent the texture
On the other hand, Gunma Prefecture Blueberry Moko is a limited flavor of the "Moko" series using Gunma Prefecture blueberries. The cream is a combination of blueberry jam from Gunma prefecture and whipped cream, and is finished with a refreshing sour taste. Sales areas are part of Saitama prefecture and Gunma prefecture. The price is 140 yen.
