Two new Japanese and Western eclectic sweets are now available at each Lawson store. "Uji Matcha Pure Cream Daifuku" (140 yen, tax included, same below) and "Gold Sesame Mousse and Black Sesame Pudding" (180 yen).

When I tried it, I would like to report here that it was a superb dessert that did not disappoint! Especially black sesame pudding! If you like sesame sweets, definitely try it.

◆ Taste review

Uji Matcha Pure Fresh Cream Daifuku is a cream Daifuku that is made by wrapping pure fresh cream and matcha bean paste using Uji matcha in a chewy mochi. Matcha bean paste is a thick paste.



That's why matcha is so strong! Deep umami and sharp bitterness wrap your tongue. The pure cream in the core adds a little mellowness, but the taste is almost matcha itself. Matcha lovers will love it.


On the other hand, gold sesame mousse and black sesame pudding are two-layer pudding with gold sesame mousse layered on black sesame pudding. The top surface is also topped with gold sesame seeds.


Black sesame pudding has a chewy and elastic texture, but it has a light texture that disappears when eaten. The rich aroma of black sesame spreads. Gold sesame mousse is like whipped cream, and it melts in your mouth and has an elegant scent.


When you eat two layers at the same time, the aroma of black sesame and the gorgeous aroma of gold sesame spread intertwined and are wonderfully delicious. The sesame seeds are long after swallowing, but half of them are gold sesame seeds, so the aftertaste is refreshing. This is the next bite, isn't it?
