Kurashiki Denim Street

The Kojima district of Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, is the birthplace of domestic denim. In honor of this, "Kurashiki Denim Street" opened in November 2014 in a section of the Bikan Historical Quarter.

In addition to stores selling goods and decorations made of denim, there is a food corner where visitors can enjoy "denim gourmet " food.

The menu includes a total of five items: "Denim Man" (two kinds), "Denim Burger," "Denim Soft," and "Denim Squash. Of course, all of them are denim-colored (blue). The first time you see them, you may be a bit surprised, but if you dare to try them, you will be relieved to know that they are surprisingly (?) tasty. It's delicious and makes you feel relaxed.

Denim Maman

Denim manju is made of denim-colored dough wrapped with ingredients. There are two types: one with black pork filling and the other with yakisoba noodles. The bright blue color of the dough is created by combining gardenia and alcohol. Each is priced at 350 yen (tax included).

A new menu item that was recently introduced as a prototype. The price is 300 yen. The soda has a beautiful blue gradation, and three round, homemade peach sorbets are cool and refreshing.
