So, this time, I decided on the top 5 Haagen-Dazs ice cream I ate in 2015, which was especially delicious, based on my own judgment and prejudice! What is the flavor that won first place ...?
◆ 5th place: Hana Mochi Kinako Black Mitsu
Hana Mochi has been sold too much and has been temporarily suspended. After all, the texture of the mochi that stretches like "myon" was fresh! The harmony with fragrant kinako ice cream and rich black honey sauce is also the best. I was surprised that the stickiness did not become hard even when it was cold and I could enjoy the melting of the mouth. It's now on sale again, so if you haven't done so already, be sure to check it out!
◆ 4th place: Japone Azuki Waguri
Azuki Waguri is ranked in from the Haagen-Dazs "Japone" series limited to 7-ELEVEN. Thick Japanese chestnut sauce, hot Japanese chestnut ice cream, rich milk ice cream, and azuki beans with a lot of flavor. The exquisite balance of harmony that couldn't be achieved even if one of them was missing was the flavor that firmly grasped our Japanese stomach. The "richness" of the taste, which can be said to be the true value of Haagen-Dazs, was shining.
◆ 3rd place: Crispy Sand Marron Glacé
Marron Glacé was released at the end of summer as a flavor that anticipates autumn. Whereas Azuki Waguri was a "Japanese" chestnut flavor, this is a "Western" one. It's called rum with a slight scent, and it's called moist and soft chestnut grains, and the taste and texture are just marron glacé! I was surprised at the high degree of perfection.
… As you may have noticed, I'm sorry, I like chestnuts.
◆ 2nd place: Crunch Crunch Matcha Crumble
Matcha ice cream coated with matcha and studded with matcha cookies. I was knocked out with a bite to the taste of matcha. The umami and bitterness peculiar to matcha, and the rich aroma that makes you feel as if you just drank matcha. Compared to other matcha ice cream, I could taste the matcha feeling that sticks out one head. Can we meet more matcha ice cream next year?
◆ 1st place: Sicilian lemon pie
The number one flavor in 2015 was the mini-cup Sicilian lemon pie, which appeared at the end of June when the world began to flutter just before midsummer! Haagen-Dazs is a perfect combination of vanilla ice cream, lemon custard sauce and crispy pie. It is sweet, sour and fragrant, and although it is rich, it has a good sharpness and a refreshing aftertaste. I was even impressed by the luxurious taste as if I was eating a lemon pie cake.
How was it? Did the flavors you ate rank in?
That's why I would like to continue to eat and report on the new Morimori work in 2016, so I look forward to working with you! (I'm not a Haagen-Dazs turner, really)
