■ "Shirohige Cream Puff Studio" is located in Setagaya-Daita

"Shirohige Cream Puff Studio" is about a 5-minute walk from Setagaya-Daita Station. Surrounded by trees, it is a shop that is likely to appear in Miyazaki anime.


The first floor is a workshop and shop, and when you go up the stairs, the second floor is a cafe. Lots of Ghibli goods in the interior!


■ There are 4 types of "Totoro cream puffs"

When I opened the door of the shop on the 1st floor ... I was there, Totoro! A lot of palm-sized "Totoro cream puffs" are lined up in the showcase!


It's kind of heartwarming, remembering the scene where two Chibitotoro chase after Mei-chan.

There are four flavors of "Totoro cream puff", including all-season "custard cream," "chocolate cream," "caramel banana cream," and "marron cream," which is only available in the fall and winter. It seems that there are limited flavors depending on the season, such as "strawberry" from winter to spring and "peach" from summer to autumn.

This time, I bought the popular "Custard Cream" and the seasonal "Marron Cream"!

■ I tried "Totoro cream puff"

Kyoton "Totoro cream puff" with a too cute face, each with a little leaf on its head. Did you come out of the forest?


First of all, I will try totoro of "custard cream" with green leaves.


It seems that domestic wheat is used for the shoe, and the texture is crispy. The custard is fragrant with vanilla beans and melts in your mouth. The rich custard cream combined with fresh cream is packed tightly, and it is also delicious to eat. The leaves had a slight matcha flavor.

Next, I will try the seasonal "marron cream".


"Maron cream" is made by chopping chestnuts in astringent skin and adding them to the malon cream finished using Japanese chestnuts from Kumamoto prefecture. The natural sweetness of chestnuts themselves. The cream also contains 1 cm square chestnuts, so you can enjoy the texture. The autumn-like brown leaves were chocolate-flavored.
