Juchheim's "Ultimate Baumkuchen" is worrisome--Japanese flavors "Matcha" and "Kuromame" are now available

From the well-established brand "Juchheim" of Baumkuchen, "Baumkuchen of matcha" and "Baumrinde of black beans" have appeared as "ultimate Baumkuchen". From February 5th, it will be sold mainly at the Kobe main store and Matsuzakaya Ueno store.

What does "Ultimate Baumkuchen" mean?

Juchheim has a history of more than 100 years, but this is the first time that Baumkuchen, which uses Japanese ingredients such as matcha, has been released. Although there was a request from department stores, it is said that he was particular about the "authentic taste" of Germany, the birthplace of Baumkuchen, and did not dare to use Japanese ingredients.

This time, two kinds of "Japanese material Baum" will be commercialized in collaboration with the long-established store of Uji tea, Marukyu Koyamaen, and the long-established store of Tamba black, Otagaki Shoten.

The first "Matcha Baumuhen" (3,150 yen) is a luxurious use of the matcha "Yugen" from Marukyu Koyamaen. Matcha-flavored Baumkuchen itself is sold by various manufacturers, but it is difficult to maintain the aroma and taste of matcha because it is extremely sensitive to sunlight. It seems that it was said. Therefore, the Juchheim craftsmen took pride in developing the "Matcha Baumkuchen" that will be released this time. He said that he aimed to be the "ultimate Baumkuchen" by sticking to the blending ratio and materials of matcha and even the wrapping paper to block the light.

The taste is impressive with the strong flavor of matcha and the rich bitterness. It is a moist, heavy and sounding dish. It is also sold at Marukyu Koyamaen / Saitoin store (Kyoto City).

On the other hand, "Kuromame Baumkuchen" (2,100 yen) is a square Baumkuchen made from Tamba black from Hyogo prefecture. It's not a round annual ring shape that you often see, but it's a kind of Baumkuchen that sandwiches cream by layering plate-shaped Baum dough. Plenty of black beans are also placed on the top, making it a beautiful dish with shiny beans.

Sandwiched in the dough is a combination of black bean paste and marzipan cream. The chewy texture and sweetness of the plumply cooked chestnuts are added to it, and the gentle taste that softens it spreads. It looks good as a souvenir.

The Kobe main store and Matsuzakaya Ueno store have been renewed to coincide with the launch of these two products. A total of 6 types of Baumkuchen, including 2 types of "Ultimate Baumkuchen", will be sold at the store, and the designs of uniforms and shopping bags will be redesigned.
