"Baumkuchen Expo 2019" will be held at the Takashimaya Yokohama store (* high is a variant). 150 brands of "Local Baumkuchen" will be gathered for 5 days from November 20th to 25th.

This is the first event held in the Kanto region, and 2019 will be the 100th anniversary of Baumkuchen in Japan, and more than 200 types of local Baum will be collected from 47 prefectures from Hokkaido in the north to Okinawa in the south. It is said that products that make use of interesting shapes and regional characteristics will appear.

There is a standing bar called "Baumkuchen BAR 47" where you can eat and compare 5 types of local Baum in bite size. The price is 470 yen per plate (tax included, same below).


In addition to this, an assortment of popular brands Baumkuchen will be sold for a limited number of 100 pieces a day. It comes with an original tote bag designed exclusively for 2019, and the price is 1,944 yen. The contents of Baum are Western confectionery Villon (Tokyo), Jiichiro (Shizuoka), Club Harie (Shiga), Juchheim (Hyogo), and Ryo (Hiroshima). The tote bag alone costs 880 yen.


There will also be a corner where you can eat freshly baked Baumkuchen. Toppings are also possible, and you can enjoy "chasing butter" with butter-rich Baumkuchen dough topped with butter. The price is 440 yen, butter topping is 110 yen, and vanilla ice cream topping is 110 yen. It is baked 8 times each day at 11:00, 12:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00 and 19:00. The last day will be 6 times until 17:00.


There is also a brand booth, and the following stores will open. WHITE SHIP (Miyagi), Atelier Petit Boa (Ibaraki), Kamogawabaum (Chiba), Anibaum (Tokyo), Strasbourg (Kanagawa), Patisserie The Ellen (Yamanashi), Club Harie (Shiga), Euheim (Hyogo). There are some demonstration sales.
