Material ( For two people )
ground chicken 100g (3.53oz)
monk's quarters two (long cylindrical things)
soy sauce 1 tablespoon
sugar 1 tablespoon
mirin 1 tablespoon
blend of seven spices (cayenne, sesame, Japanese pepper, citrus peel, etc.) proper quantity
salad oil 2 teaspoons
green spring onion proper quantity

Stir-fried Chicken Burdock with Sweet and Spicy Sauce

Ingredients

100g (3.53oz) minced chicken
2 burdocks
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp mirin (sweet cooking sake)
1 tbsp mirin (sweet cooking sake)
2 teaspoons salad oil
green onion, to taste

Directions 1.

Peel burdock with a peeler and cut into thin strips. Cut the green onion into small pieces.


Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the minced chicken over low heat.


When the minced chicken is about half cooked, add the burdock root and stir-fry over medium heat.


When the burdock becomes crispy, add soy sauce, sugar, and mirin and stir-fry. When the flavors have blended in, turn off the heat and sprinkle with shichimi togarashi and green onions.
