Koya-Tofu Steak

Ingredients



1 piece of Koya-Tofu
1 cup hot water
1 tablespoon Men-tsuyu (sweet bean sauce)
1 tablespoon wheat flour
Oil to taste

Add mentsuyu to 1 cup of boiling water and soak koya-tofu for about 5 minutes.


When the koya-tofu is fluffy, drain off the water from the surface and dust the surface with flour.


Heat oil in a frying pan and fry koya-tofu. When golden brown, turn over, cover and steam for 2 to 3 minutes.




Remove to a serving dish! Garnish with ponzu (Japanese citrus juice), wasabi (Japanese horseradish), or yuzu pepper to taste.
