Easy & Delicious! Avocado Mackerel Dip

Simply mix avocado and canned mackerel. The richness of the avocado is matched by the umami of the mackerel, making this a simple yet surprisingly tasty dish. Serve with bread, crackers, or vegetables.

Material ( Serves 3-4 people )
avocado (Persea americana) one (object)
canned mackerel (esp. the chub mackerel, Scomber japonicus) 1 can (about 110 g solid)
onion (edible plant, Allium cepa) 20g (0.71oz)
lemon juice (ingredient) 1 teaspoon
Salt, pepper, Tabasco small quantity

Just mix avocado and canned mackerel. Here is a simple and delicious recipe for Avocado Mackerel Dip. Serve with bread, crackers or vegetables.

What to prepare. Adapted from Dole's recipe.

Ingredients

1 avocado
1 can of mackerel in water (about 110 g solid)
20 g onion
1 tsp lemon juice
Salt, pepper, a dash of Tabasco

Directions

Chop onion, soak in water and wipe well.

Exposed to water.

Wipe well.

Remove skin and seeds from avocado and place in a bowl.


Add lemon juice and mash with the back of a fork.




Once a paste is formed, add the drained canned mackerel and onion and mix together.


While unwinding the mackerel

Season to taste with salt, pepper, and Tabasco.

About 10 drops of Tabasco is a good rule of thumb.

Serve in a bowl and you're done! Serve with bread, crackers or hot vegetables.
