Veggie burger at home! Review 2 types of frozen patties with rich mushrooms and nuts

"Veggie burger" is a hamburger for vegetarians and people who are not good at meat. Patties made from vegetable foods are so popular that they are sold as frozen foods in the United States.

This time, I tried two kinds of frozen Veggie burger patties found at Hiroo's imported supermarket "National Azabu". I enjoyed the deliciousness of meat patties!

Compare eating veggie burger

I bought Amy's "Organic Veggie Burger" (4 pieces for 1,188 yen) and Carla Lee's "Organic Nut Burger" (2 pieces for 923 yen). All prices include tax.

4 pieces for 1,188 yen

2 pieces 923 yen

All are cooked in a frying pan with oil in a frozen state (can also be cooked in a microwave oven). Combine it with your favorite vegetables and sauce and sandwich it with buns (prepared separately) to complete the hamburger.

Bake onions together and use the space

Complete with your favorite ingredients!

Organic veggie burger uses mushrooms, wheat, onions, celery, etc. The hamburger patty has a rough texture that loosens when chewed. You can enjoy the rich aroma of mushrooms and the taste of various vegetables.

Although the meat is not dull or heavy, the taste is endless. Not unsatisfactory, but rather delicious! If you like mushrooms, you'll love it. It's also different from Shake Shack's Shroom Burger, so it looks interesting to eat and compare.

Organic nut burger is a burger patty that uses brown rice, sunflower seeds, cashew nuts, etc. It has a yellowish appearance.

Even with the same vegetable patty, the taste is quite different from organic veggie burger. You can enjoy the moist and calm texture and the richness of nuts that are fragrant as you chew. The texture of nuts is also good! It's not crunchy like snacks, but crunchy like boiled peanuts. The slightly curry flavor matches the taste of the ingredients.

Organic Veggie burger is more enjoyable for meatiness, but this is a highly satisfying taste. I think that the dry buns are even more compatible.

Patty alone costs about 300 to 460 yen per piece, but Veggie Burger itself is still rare in Japan, and the price is as high as around 1,000 yen. Is it reasonable to think that it is less than half the price if reproduced at home? Similar products are also available on mail-order sites, so if you can't find one at a local supermarket, look for it!
