I tried Lawson's mysterious new work "Takoyaki Onigiri"! Mayo & sea lettuce ... does that go well with rice?

At each Lawson store, the new product "Takoyaki Onigiri" from the "Local Monnigiri" series was released on November 27th. The price is 148 yen (tax included).

No, takoyaki on rice balls ... I couldn't go through it for a while, so I tried it.

Takoyaki rice balls

This is a rice ball topped with bonito-flavored rice and a whole takoyaki, a local gourmet unique to Osaka. Finished with sauce, mayonnaise and sea lettuce.

The rolled seaweed looks like a thong

If you take the plunge and stretch it ... That's good! The chewy dough has a melting texture. There was an octopus in the takoyaki. It's also crunchy! The dashi flavor of bonito, the aroma of sauce and sea lettuce, and the mellow richness of mayonnaise match surprisingly.

It has an octopus!

The combination of dashi flavor and sea lettuce may be similar to the "devil's rice ball" released the other day. It has a richer taste than that, and the mayonnaise and sauce are more assertive.

It has a strong taste, so you can eat it with just one. I prefer soft takoyaki to crispy takoyaki! Why don't you give it a try?
