FamilyMart "Shisan Udon" supervised series No.4

"Shisan Udon supervised Kashiwa Udon" and "Shisan Udon supervised Katsutoshi-don style Omusubi" have been on sale at FamilyMart stores in Kyushu (Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Kumamoto and Oita Prefectures) and Yamaguchi Prefecture (some stores) since November 7. This is the fourth in the series supervised by "Shisan Udon," a well-loved udon restaurant in Kitakyushu.

Kashiwa Udon (Kashiwa Udon with Kashiwa Fish)

Kashiwa Udon" is a microwavable udon noodle dish that is a staple in the Kyushu region, and is supervised by Shisan Udon. The noodles are firm and elastic, and are served with a tasty broth made from mackerel bones and other ingredients, sweetened chicken meat, and green onions. The flavor can be varied by adding a dash of flavor enhancer and the familiar tororo konbu (kelp) used in Shisan Udon. The price is 540 yen (tax included).

Kashiwa Udon, a popular menu item at Shisan Udon, features kashiwa (chicken meat) cooked in a sweet and spicy flavor. It has a chewy texture, and the flavor spreads with every bite. The chewy udon noodles and the slightly thick broth made from mackerel, kelp, and other fish are in harmony, and are extremely popular among local Kitakyushu residents.

This product is an adaptation of the popular "katsu-togi-don" (pork cutlet and topping on top of rice in a bowl) menu item from Shisan Udon. The sweetened pork cutlet and topping are combined with dashi rice, which is a soup stock that is reminiscent of the rice used in katsu-todashi-don, and the flavors of the two are combined to create a sense of unity. The price is 240 yen (tax included).

Shisan Udon's "Katsu-Tsuji Don" is the restaurant's most popular menu item, ranked No. 1 in the rice bowl category. The exquisite half-boiled egg and the special sweet and spicy seasoning of the rice bowl sauce are a perfect match with the rice.
