ya's Eel Bowl Matsuya's Eel Bowl will be available at Matsuya from 10:00 a.m. on June 27, 2012. Eel" is famous for being eaten on "Doyo no Ushi (day of the ox)" which comes in July every year. The custom of eating unagi (eel) on Doyou no Ushi (day of the ox) has continued since the Edo period (1603-1868), and is known to be effective in preventing summer fatigue and loss of appetite. Matsuya's Unadon (bowl of eel rice topped with a bowl of rice topped with a bowl of eel) is a product that will mark its fifth summer since its introduction in 2019 as a summer tradition. This year, Matsuya's Eel Bowl will be available again.
