Sakiyo-ken will introduce "Early Summer Refreshing Shunshoku" series, including "Yokohama Gekimochi Mango", "Oishisa Nagamochi Asari Shiomai", "Asari Shiomai 《Frozen》" and "Obento Early Summer", available from April 16 to June 15.

Yokohama Mooncake Mango

Sakiyoken "Early Summer Refreshing Shunshoku" series

The "Yokohama Mooncake Mango" is a seasonal flavor made with puree of Alphonso mango, the king of mangoes and characterized by its strong sweetness, and cubed dried mango with moderate acidity, and baked in a sweet bean paste. The rich flavor is said to be enjoyable.

The product is sold at approximately 160 stores mainly in Kanagawa and Tokyo, and is priced at 160 yen per piece (tax included, the same below). Also available is the "Yokohama Mooncake 5-piece set" that includes one each of five flavors: azuki bean, chestnut, Uji green tea, black sesame, and mango. The price is 680 yen.

Oishisa Nagamochi Asari Shiomai

The "Oishisa Nagamochi Asari Shiomai" is a dish in which uncut scallions are mixed with pork to create a rich flavor and texture. It is seasoned simply with soy sauce and mirin. While Saki Yoken's shioumai is often thought to go well with beer, the asari shioumai is said to go well with sake as well.

It is refrigerated and can be enjoyed as if it were freshly made by simply heating it up in a microwave oven without removing the bag. It can be served with the attached ginger. The product is sold at about 160 stores mainly in Kanagawa and Tokyo, and is priced at 650 yen for a set of six.

The "Asari Shiomai 《Frozen》" is available in frozen form and will be sold by mail order and at some roadside stores. The price is 650 yen for a set of six.

Obento Early Summer

The "Obento Hatsuatsuatsu" is a staple dish that includes colorful "wild rice" cooked with wild vegetables such as bracken and princess bamboo, and carrots. It is also topped with "fuki no tsukudani" and "kinshito tamago" (egg with broiled silk threads).

The main dish is "fried flounder with yellow flesh," which is softly fried with fatty flounder, "boiled yomogi mijo" with a refreshing aroma, "koorikonnyaku, wakame seaweed, deep-fried tofu and crab flavored kamaboko" which is frozen once to enjoy its crunchy texture, "traditional shioumai" (two kinds of shiomai), and "konjako-shi" (a kind of shiomai made with rice flour). The following items are available: sesame teriyaki chicken, carrot stew, lotus root stew, egg omelet, and refreshing shibazuke pickles. Uji green tea strawbutter cake" is also available as a sweet treat. The product is sold at approximately 160 stores mainly in Kanagawa and Tokyo, and is priced at 730 yen.
