Recently, "beef cutlet" shops are often talked about, but this time I will introduce a rare cutlet in Kamata, Tokyo. Its name is " Omelet Katsushi "! The sound is a bit like a B-grade gourmet, but once you eat it, it's addictive.

● Omelet of the long-established "Tonsei"

The omelet is served by Tonsei, a 47-year-old long-established store located a few minutes' walk from Kamata Station.

Omelet katsu is a raw minced pork kneaded with peppers, carrots, onions, and shiitake mushrooms wrapped in thinly roasted eggs, battered and fried. It seems that it takes about 20 minutes to cook it to the inside, and the menu table says "It will take some time".

Twenty minutes after ordering, the cross section of the omelet that was brought in hot and freshly fried is brilliant with the overflowing gravy! If you can't wait and stretch it ... the batter is crunchy like a biscuit! The bread crumbs are even, and no matter where you bite, you will feel a miracle-like crispy texture . It's so delicious that you can have a cup of rice with just this batter ...!

The thinly baked egg is fluffy, and the meat wrapped inside is soft and fluffy. Every time you chew, the gravy overflows and your mouth is filled with the sweetness of fat and the taste of meat. And we have tasted the juice of endlessly flowing come taste, strange that the other meat is gone melted when I noticed.

look! Look at this gravy!

While I'm impressed by the new texture, it's also a homely taste that gives me a sense of security, like the food that my mother has cooked for a long time even though I should have eaten it for the first time. It seems that some people go to the shop just to eat this, but I understand the psychology well.

Sauce is your choice. Personally, I recommend you to taste it without putting anything on it.

Omelettes are served at both lunch and dinner (To go is also possible). However, it takes time to fry, so it is good to visit the store when you have time to enjoy it slowly.

● Become a “drinkable pork cutlet shop” at night

By the way, Tonkatsu at night is a "drinkable pork cutlet shop". The popular menu is "Kushiage set". It is open from 5:30 pm on weekdays and all day on Sundays and public holidays.

"It's a pork cutlet shop skewered, so it's decided to be delicious!"

Choose from meat and vegetable skewers (A set) or seafood skewers (B set), and a drink such as draft beer or highball is included and the price is 1,000 yen (excluding tax). Isn't that cheap? All right? When I asked the shop owner, he said, "It was a little too cheap (laughs)." Really! Is it playful!

Kushiage is fried using bread crumbs that is different from omelet katsu. Since this bread crumbs has a low sugar content, the deep-fried skewers do not burn or have a bad taste.

When you bite into it, the batter is so delicate that it seems to blow off every time you breathe, and it feels as if you are eating powdered snow. Even though it's fried food, it's light, so it's crispy. The meat wrapped inside is soothing. In addition, the vegetables are crispy and fresh, and the sake is on the rise.

In addition, "Kaki fry " is also recommended at this time of year. Seasonal until March. Oysters are in season, so it shouldn't hurt to taste them now. Some fans praise the store's fried oysters as "Kamata's best fried oysters."

I like oysters so much that I die, but I couldn't cover this time because I had a body that I couldn't eat after hitting it (it might really die if I ate it). I'm sorry I don't have a photo. Please enjoy it with your own tongue (up to my part) ... Ufufu ...
