Christmas preservative is a "mincemeat" style jam that combines dried fruits with plenty of Western liquor. It is sold in the UK and other countries during the Christmas season and is mainly used for making sweets.
There are two types of Aohata Christmas Preservation, "Lamb Brown" and "Cranberry Red". Rum brown is an amber jam made from dried fruits, navel orange and prune juice and finished with rum. Cranberry red, on the other hand, is made by adding citrus juice to dried fruits, mainly apples, and adding brandy. In addition to being applied to bread, they are also suitable for pound cakes, pie ingredients, and ice cream sauces.
