When I travel, I first go to a local supermarket or convenience store. This is because there is always a true local gourmet = "treasure" that is loved by the locals.

I would like to introduce one of such rough diamonds. It is "Ryukyu famous confectionery Arakaki Chinsuko Ice" found at a convenience store in Okinawa.


This ice cream is sold by Okinawa Meiji Dairy Industry. It is a collaboration product with the long-established store "Aragaki Chinsuko" of "Chinsuko" which is a representative sweet of Okinawa. It is finished by mixing crushed chinsuko with salt vanilla ice cream. By the way, it seems that "chatan salt" from Okinawa, the hometown, is also used for salt.


When you put it in your mouth, the salted vanilla ice cream melts smoothly on your tongue, and the slightly salty taste and richness of vanilla spread. Then, sweet and salty Chinsuko appeared from inside! Even if it is wrapped in ice cream, it has a crispy, moist and unique texture!


It's a little off topic, but let me talk about the deliciousness of Chinsuko. It has a crispy and fragrant texture, although it melts in the mouth and is softer than ordinary cookies. It has a crisp salty taste, and when you mog mog it, your mouth is filled with indescribable sweetness.

Such chinsuko is fully kneaded into salt vanilla ice cream . It can't be delicious. The balance of saltiness and sweetness is a golden ratio, and the refreshing back mouth is also the best. A miracle ice cream that is simple but cannot be made even if you try to imitate it at home. Why aren't they released nationwide ...! I want to eat it even if I order it from Okinawa !!


I had eaten too much on that day, so I decided to eat only half and the rest the next day, but I couldn't stop eating one more bite, one more bite ... and I ended up putting it in my stomach. .. Even though it's so delicious and delicious, I'm happy that it's only 130 yen.

Because of this, I can't stop visiting convenience stores on my trip.
