Marugoto Iwashi Maki is a sushi roll made by grilling a whole large sardine from Kushiro, Hokkaido, and rolling it with perilla and plum meat. It seems that the sardines are made easy to eat by removing the bones. The length of the sushi part is about 10 cm. The price is 350 yen.

Sardines are also a food closely related to Setsubun, as there are areas where sardines are decorated and eaten as a demon ward.
