At the cafe "MARU FUJI CAFE Tennoji North Exit" in Tennoji, Osaka, new menus "Uji Matcha Hot Cake" and "Uji Matcha Afoguard" are on sale according to the season of new tea.

Uji Matcha pancakes are made by stuffing homemade yuzu jam in a thick, fluffy dough and adding plenty of soy milk whipped cream. Alazan and matcha are topped. The attached bean paste is a mixture of Hokkaido Tokachi Yumemurasaki bean paste, Hokkaido Dainagon azuki beans and white azuki beans. Sprinkle with homemade matcha honey and taste.

The price is 800 yen (excluding tax, the same applies below). You can also top with ice cream for an additional charge of 100 yen.


On the other hand, Uji Matcha Afoguard is a dessert with vanilla ice cream, green tea ice cream, and mixed bean paste wrapped in a chocolate dome. It is topped with edible flowers and gold powder, and looks gorgeous. Sprinkle a rich hot matcha sauce and melt the chocolate dome to taste.
