"Potato Chips Ikaninjin Flavor " released by Calbee in the eastern Japan area on May 9th has been well received and will be resold from June 20th. The estimated price is 120 yen (tax included).

These are potato chips that are inspired by the local cuisine of Fukushima prefecture, "Ikaninjin". In addition to squid powder and carrot powder, kelp powder and dried bonito extract powder are added to reproduce the flavor of "dashi".

When it was released in May, it became popular as the planned monthly sales volume (about 100,000 bags) in Fukushima Prefecture was sold out in just one week. It is said that this resale was made because many customers requested that it be "standardized".

The president of the company, who is from Fukushima prefecture, says that he wants the product to remind him of the charm of his hometown of Fukushima.

Sales areas are Aomori prefecture, Iwate prefecture, Miyagi prefecture, Akita prefecture, Yamagata prefecture, Fukushima prefecture, Ibaraki prefecture, Tochigi prefecture, Gunma prefecture, Nagano prefecture, Niigata prefecture.
