7-ELEVEN released a new dessert with pure white dough, "Mocchiri White Rare Cheese Dora" on May 10th. The price is 140 yen (tax included).

This is a chewy white dough with a rare cheese whipped cream cheese and lemon juice sandwiched between them. It seems that they are baked one by one at the factory.

When I tried eating it at the En-eating editorial department, the concept of dorayaki was lightly overturned. Is this ... Dorayaki?

● The fabric is mochi mochi!

I feel that about half of Dorayaki's identity has been lost when the whole is pure white, but the first thing I want to mention is the mochi mochi dough ! It has a completely different texture from the fluffy and familiar castella-style dough.


As you can see from the cross section when you cut it, the dough is fine and moist. When I bite it, my teeth sink and I feel chewy enough to chew. There is a Kanto-style sakura mochi, which makes the dough even thicker and more chewy. Is it a little closer to the texture of steamed bread?

● Rare cheese whipped cream is good

And the rich rare cheese whipped cream goes well with the chewy dough! The contrast of the texture is good, and the cheese and lemon are sour, and it's good that you can eat it refreshingly even though it's full of cream!


The dough is not sweet and the cream has a distinctly sour taste, so the overall finish is not sweet. I think it is a good balance that the texture is chewy and the taste is refreshing. It's clearly different from the dorayaki I usually eat, but it was really delicious!
