Hello, this is a tea plantation. At each FamilyMart store, "Ohanami Roll (Matcha & Strawberry)", which is made by wrapping strawberry cream in matcha dough, was released on March 15 (excluding Okinawa Prefecture). The price is 190 yen (tax included). It seems that Uji matcha from Kyoto prefecture is used for the dough.

When I discovered it, I was a little angry, "Why isn't cream also matcha?", But the product name is not "Matcha" roll but "Ohanami" roll, so this is the correct answer. The contrast between green and pink is very reminiscent of cherry blossom leaves and flowers.

Let's eat it.

A sponge cloth with a thickness of about 2 cm wrapped in the shape of "no". In the center, plenty of strawberry cream is embraced. The inside of the dough is baked brown and looks a bit like castella.

When you gently submerge the fork in the dough ... it feels more moist than you expected! It is so soft that the dough is pulled from both sides toward the place where the pressure is applied.

When you spread the fluffy and fluffy strawberry cream with the dough, the cream and the dough melt on the tongue with a time lag, and the scent of matcha comes out in the mouth. The slight bitterness of matcha and the sweet and sour strawberry cream go well together more than I expected. It may be because the cream is not too sweet and has a strong strawberry-like acidity.

Even so, what impressed me was the melting of the matcha dough. This may be more moist than the 7-ELEVEN Uji Matcha roll cake I ate before.

Since the proportion of strawberry cream is high, it may not be enough to eat it in anticipation of matcha. However, this was very delicious as such! Above all, a roll cake that "feels spring" is perfect for this season.
